A Global Educational Mission
The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur serve schools and mission communities across continents and keep education at the centre of their service to children and young people.
NDGA is guided by the educational mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, whose work in schools reaches across countries and generations.
Notre Dame Girls' Academy is owned and managed by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the congregation founded by St. Julie Billiart in France in 1804 with the conviction that children should be given what they need for life.
The mission reached Nigeria in 1963 through the British Province and continues through schools, pastoral care, health outreach, faith formation, and service in many dioceses. NDGA in Kuje Abuja belongs to that wider Notre Dame educational family.
Families therefore meet more than a local boarding school. They meet a school sustained by a Catholic educational tradition that has served young people in Great Britain, Japan, Nigeria, Belgium, Brazil, the United States, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and other parts of the world.
The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur serve schools and mission communities across continents and keep education at the centre of their service to children and young people.
Their educational tradition gives careful attention to the dignity, confidence, education, and future of girls and young women.
At NDGA this support is seen in Catholic identity, child safeguarding, boarding structure, pastoral care, disciplined school culture, and the commitment to educating girls for life.
Families meet strong academics, Catholic formation, boarding support, and a school culture built on dignity, order, and care.
